For the whiskey fans

FYI I'm not sure about others but I've been totally sleeping on Canadian Whiskeys. I'm at a bar in Vancouver and I don't know if they just curated well but I've been blown away by the quality.

In no particular order, the whiskeys I had tonight worth trying:

1. Alberta Rye Dark Batch (called Dark Horse in Canada)
2. Collingawood Toasted Maple Finish
3. Lohin McKinnon Canadian Single Malt
4. Lot No. 40 Single Copper Pot
5. Forty Creek Barrel Select

I had heard of zero of these before tonight but all were notably more tasty than their price. Lots of interesting raisin, date, and bread flavors . Pretty much all were less than $40/750ml, with a couple clocking in at less than $20/750ml. In my opinion well with having in the bar, as an interesting alternative to bourbon and scotch.
