    Game of Thrones Books

Anyone read/reading these? Not my usual "thing" but I have a good friend who is reading them and keeps suggesting that I do as well. We normally have pretty similar tastes in books but I'm about 100 pages in and am wondering about her this time. It just hasn't grabbed me yet but given each book is quite long and it's a series it may just be that it will take a bit of time. Any thoughts?

I have lots of friends who have read the series a d they LOVE it. They did say book one takes a little bit to get in to - but from their accounts it is worth it!

They are good, though the most recent two aren't as good as the first three.

Martin seemed to lose a lot of focus when writing Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons. Regardless, you should still read them because they're better than most adult fantasy novels.

Brock nails it. And who knows if the guy ever finishes the story?
