I rarely use a straw and environmentally it does pay to not use them, but politicians love to be draconian and invasive.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

I use metal straws. I rarely drink anything other than water or coffee, though. And beer.

Not a big straw guy. But that is way beyond acceptable. Extreme left and extreme right intersect at totalitarian avenue. $1,000?? Horrible.
