    Some comments.

Kentucky did well, of course, by retaining everyone, including badly needed defensive players to return.

From the SEC, LSU struck out. They knew Derrick Guide and Arden Key would leave, but they also lost Donte Jackson, Kevin Toliver, Toby Weathersby and Will Clapp.

Missouri was a big winner returning Drew Lock.

I've read other articles suggesting Clemson and Ohio State did great returning players, and Texas not so much, but didn't really pay attention to much else. I think Louisville lost Lamar Jackson and Jaire Alexander.

I'm thrilled that our defensive players are returning. We need to shore up the DBs, I don't see how Baity and Westry went from being so promising to being unable to defend, has to be the DB coaching they have gotten the last two seasons.

That's some list. Sadly, a bunch of them won't get drafted and will have to hope they catch on somewhere as a free agent. Wonder what Boom is up to these days?

I am somewhat short of “thrilled”. Experience can be good, but something needs to change on defense. It may be that some of the players returning got the message that something needed to change with them and they need to demonstrate it in order to be drafted. I didn’t see a Woodyard, a Zedarius, or Alvin Dupree wearing blue at Commonwealth last season.

I have hopes that the returning guys can have seasons like the pros you mentioned. I would have loved to see what Rich Brooks could do with these kids.

Rich would have never let them sink to the depths they demonstrated in the Looeyville game.
