    * Play KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky v UCLA *

    1. Predict the Kentucky margin of victory (+) OR loss (-). If you believe that Kentucky will lose, make sure that you make it clearly known with a -- [minus sign], or something else.

    2. Predict the game high scorer, AND the total number of points he will score in the game. NOTE--it does not have to be a Kentucky player for this KSR point.

    3. OVER/UNDER: Welsh vs Our Best. Thomas Welsh averages 11 rebounds a game. We'll set the OVER/UNDER at -0- at he'll have -0- more rebounds than the top Kentucky rebounder in the game. You're predicting whether Welsh or Kentucky's top rebounder in the game will have more. If you think Welsh will have more rebounds, say OVER, and by how many. If you think Kentucky's top rebounder (whoever it may be) will have more bounds than Welsh, predict UNDER, and by how many. (View it from his standpoint.) I'll post mine in a minute and you can see if it's confusing.

    4. Math Time! But we're going to take a break from the PAR-boil. This time we're going to take the POINTS + ASSISTS + REBOUNDS for the BENCH for Kentucky. Don't multiply them, just add them. (Example: if we play 5 players off the bench, and they score a total of 22 points, 5 assists, and 9 rebounds, this answer would be 36. Just adding, but it's the entire non-starting players that count.)

Tiebreaker: The Kentucky lead (or deficit) at halftime.

    Good luck!

    Well, you should've!

No KSR point awarded for the first one. Have to get the winning team. That's always the rule, and nobody picked the 7-point underdog Bruins to win.

Doc Holiday (OK, Aaron) and Kris Wilkes tied for game-high scoring honors with 20 each. One smart player did choose a UCLA player to be game-high scorer (UKFlounder), but not the right guy.

    No point awarded here.

    Finally, we have points awarded.

Welsh had a nice double-double today with 13 points, 11 rebounds--his average--and Gabriel and Richards tied for most rebounds for Kentucky with 6. So Welsh went OVER, by 5, and these players split the difference and earned a point.

Kentucky only went 8-deep in today's game. The 3 subs were:

    Gilgeous-Alexander 6 pts + 5 assists + 3 rebounds
    Gabriel 16 pts + 0 assists + 6 rebounds
    Killeya-Jones 2 pts + 0 assists + 3 rebounds

    TOTAL BENCH PAR: 41

These two win the 4th HOF point with a very close 40.

Doc and I tied with 2 points each, and go to the tiebreaker.

I had an absurd pick of Kentucky with a 10-point lead at halftime (yes, I really believed it!), and Doc was far more realistic with a 5-point pick, which is probably what it should've been, but for a closing run by UCLA. Nonetheless, the game was tied at halftime, and Doc's pick was closest for the tiebreaker win!

Nicely done, Doc. Small consolation for the game, but at least you walked away the contest win!
