    Trae Young: 28.7 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 8.7 APG, 47.6% FG, 37.9% From 3, 88.9% FT, 2.4 SPG

The kid is very reminiscent of Chris Jackson, who played at LSU in the late 80s. Lightning fast release, sees the floor great (that assists number is remarkable). IIRC, he is leading the country in scoring and 3rd in assists. 2nd best frosh in the land behind that alien Bagley.

And Cal did all he could to land him; the kid simply was smitten with his hometown Sooners.

Well he would be splitting minutes w someone here and averaging at most half of those numbers so I guess he made a good decision

He's averaging 32 minutes a game, which is less than Knox this season. Multiple UK frosh have averaged more minutes per game than Young has (so far)

I love our PGs but 29 points a game in 32 minutes is incredibly efficient. Then add the nearly 9 assists per game to that.

Incredible stats. He would have looked good in Lexington.

How much does his ball dominance take away from other realms of the team's potential?

Or will that question only be answered during Big 12 play?

9 assist adds to the team getting involved
