Check this out--field goal is blocked and this kicker has enough presence of mind to kick the blocked ball straight thru the uprights.

There's some debate going that the second kick should have incurred a 15 yard penalty for kicking a loose ball but there's apparently also a rule that states 'any free kick or scrimmage kick continues to be a kick until it is caught or recovered by a player or becomes dead'. Since the blocked kick hadn't crossed the line of scrimmage the kicking team was just as free to advance it as was the defensive team, just not by kicking it. I keep wondering if it would have been deemed okay if the kicker had picked it up after the block and drop kicked it thru?
