How to gracefully avoid touchy conversation topics
I have this kind of thing from time to time, and thought this article was a good read and good way of handling. A little prep beforehand seems to be the key.

Re: How to gracefully avoid touchy conversation topics
Is it even legal to post such a thing on a message board?
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

Lol.
Hey, I probably did a poor job of explaining the article. It's more like, you just lost your job, and somebody asks how work is going, that kinda thing.
Like, how's your 25-year old son doing (the one moving back home) etc.
Hey, *I* can find some use for it.

Poster: Barker will take the starting spot from Johnson early, maybe not the first game, but he's just better. What do you think?
Me: Sweet baby Jesus son, will you give it a rest! You have a little something there on your chin too......Where the white women at?

It's impossible to put your foot in your mouth on this.... oh wait. Never mind.
I once asked a friend of a friend who was pregnant and I hadn't seen in a while when she was ever going to have that baby... she replied "five weeks ago"
