...uhh, maybe because it's not? lol
Think I'm making this up? Do a twitter search for "2017 years old today." I found six tweets alone in the last seven minutes that said that.

Went back an hour to see if this was something new. Nope.

Ahhhhhhh, kids.....what're ya gonna do with 'em?
MOLON LABE!
Is it some kind of joke we're missing?
Don't get me wrong, my opinion of people's general knowledge and knowledge on America specifically is so low it wouldn't surprise me if they couldn't find us on a globe (and 25% or so of Americans apparently can't), but for it to all be phrased the same way is that some kind of sarcasm?
Probably not. I don't watch much of Watters Word on Fox, but I did catch one segment, and one answer to "what year was America formally founded" was "1984". Also people didn't know what month we voted for President, etc. It was sad but unsurprising.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.
Wouldn't be the first time I had been left out of the "cool kids" joke, but I think it's real, unfortunately.
AFAIK I am the cool kids joke, but sadly I imagine it's real too.
