    ^^^I agree.

On the other hand, there are still leaves falling, mucking it up.

78 when we left Fort Walton Beach this morning, the cursing y'all heard in Birmingham, that was me. 32 when we pulled in the garage. Oh, and we had an air pressure issue in Cave City. Yep, my day just sucked eggs...

You weren't the only one cursing in Birmingham around that time, I suspect...

    Re: Last Post Wins

I hate doing this, when clearly, I was going to win this Thread with the last post--but here I am, bumping it back for everyone to see.

Just had to do my "Get off my lawn" old man thing here, I guess.

Apparently Taylor Swift is kinda popular. Who knew? Anyway, first, you had to register for some presale. Then you had to hopefully get picked for the *chance* at a ticket from the presale. Others got on a waiting list for the chance at a ticket for the presale, yet others didn't even get that far.

If you registered, and you won the lottery and got picked for the chance at a ticket from the presale, you had the ability to log in this morning before a queue opened.

Then the queue opened, where you were automatically thousands of people back from the front of the line for your particular date, and your particular venue.

And waited. You didn't dare do anything on your computer, lest you get booted out of the queue. The browser window also had to stay open.

    And waited.

    And waited.

Finally, after HOURS of waiting--literally--you got that first bit of good news. You were only 1,967 in the queue.

Couple more hours (total of 6 altogether), you made it to the front of the line. From there, stress/panic kicked in. Your access code that you were given had to "unlock" the tickets. But it didn't work at first. Then didn't work at second. And third. And fourth.

Some were booted out at this point, only to go back into the queue...where they were, of course, 2,000+ behind (that was the largest number Ticketmaster would admit to).

So all of that was nonsense, to me. 5 family members registered for this nonsensical exercise; only 1 got selected; 2 others got wait-listed.

Fine. So then I reach the 2nd nonsensical point.

    The price.

Are you kidding me? Run of the mill tickets, nothing special, no VIP or club or anything tickets, 2 for $544.

    My first car cost less.

    For a concert?

Sigh. Seriously, get off my lawn.

For $544 a ticket she had better take me to "dinner" after the show.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

Sorry, that was for two tickets. But I'm old. That's still outrageous.

If people are willing to pay that much it’s not too high. I just hope it doesn’t take away from the 15 Club.

I do not care as I do not plan to attend regardless of cost, but I suspect the Nashville ticket market is similar to Atlanta if not worse.

I'm sure that's right. As far as I know, that's just what they go for these days.

    Nissan Stadium in Nashville, right?

    Re: Last Post Wins

For the pair I guess I can live with $554 if she just gives me a hearty hand shake and a pat on the back.

seriously I paid that for KISS tickets, but had fun with other half so the cost wasn't really an issue. Would pay more than that if AC/DC did a gig I could attend. Wouldn't give you a bazooka Joe comic and a rusty skate key for Taylor Swift tickets. (not a bad old guy reference, huh?)

Buffalo is about to get buried. Hope those people can get up on their roofs to shovel the snow off.

Fwiw, Stubhub has the same ticket now on sale in that section. Cheapest ticket is $1561 + fees.

    Each.

As in, well over $3k for the same pair of tickets I got. Or more than $4k in the same section.

    Maybe I'll just shut up.

Projection is for 6 to 7 feet of wet snow on the ground when it ends some time Sunday. Buried automobiles, CO poisoning, house fires, freezing temps in homes, and collapsed roofs are going to be a huge problem for residents from Erie to Syracuse.
