Thread: Wall chargers!

  1. #1

    Wall chargers!

    My family eats them.

I have two at home for my Galaxy S5--the OEM, I think 2.0A, and two 3.0 cables--I have one in my home office, and one in my bedroom.

    Or...I HAD one in each.

A couple of days ago, I noticed that I had a USB 3.0 cable dangling helplessly where a wall charger used to be attached to it in the bedroom.

    STOLEN!

My daughter calls it "borrowing," but it is stolen, as I don't get it back.

So tonight I head to my little office--and....

    STOLEN!

    Sheesh.

I assume I need a 2.0A or 2.1A or 2.4A wall charger for maximum charging speed? (I have a 1.0A at work that is painfully slow at charging my phone).

Any hints/good leads on about 3 of these things?

    This is what I use:

6 electrical outlets, 4 usb chargers (2 2.4A, 1 1.0 A, 1 Auto (0-2.4A), charging dock (for iPhone), nightlight. Had it for over 2 years, works like a champ.

Thanks, but that one is sure to be stolen by my daughter. She has the only iPhone in the family, and could use that charging station ability!

This should be pretty good Aukey and Anker both make some good stuff:
    http://www.amazon.com/Aukey-Charger-...=Aukey+charger
Two ports, capable of 2.4A per port so should be very solid and fast at charging.

    For a desktop situation.
    http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Desktop-...=5+port+40watt

5 ports - capable of 2.4A per port up to 8A total across all ports. Something like this would be good, in particular since your desktop is where you often have more than one device for charging.

I know this is probably not what you are looking for, but I use the little wall plug in adapters that have 120 volt prongs on one end and a USB port on the other end. They make them for Galaxy phones and they are just little square cubes about the size of a golf ball. I can charge my Iphone from almost dead to full charge in about an hour using this set up. Maybe this is what your daughter is "borrowing" I do not know, but they are small enough to just unplug when done with them and carry in a pocket. Their cost is very minimal as well.
