Final Exam Question
. Who’s buried in Grant’s tomb?
a. Nobody. But Grant and his wife are entombed there.
b. This answer is wrong so I better not pick it. *Do not pick this answer.*
I usually put 1 joke question, sometimes 2, on an exam. This exam had 76 questions, and this was the first one.
Two students missed it.

Re: Final Exam Question
I taught an American History class one semester a long time ago. In the first unit we covered the Treaty of Tordesillas, a 1494 treaty essentially dividing newly discovered lands between Spain and Portugal. In every test thereafter, I threw in "The Treaty of Tordesillas" as a joke answer to a multiple-choice question, like "where did Lee surrender to Grant?" or "Who was the U.S. President when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor?" I always had at least 1 student pick that as an answer.

Re: Final Exam Question
I had two joke questions there--one at the beginning, and one in the middle to give them a break. I usually teach the concept of assumption of the risk with sports, and usually use baseball and football analogies (assume a known risk of a batted ball hitting you in the stands at Region Park; but do not assume the risk of Legion Field's upper deck falling on you--although that could be debatable lol).
Anyway, my 2nd joke question starts like this.
You are at Legion Field to watch UAB play football. Wait, you can't do that anymore.
a. Select this for the correct answer.
Cruel, huh?
