    Yep, Elly Mae Clampett, daughter to Jed Clampett, died today at the ripe age of 81.

    Heard that a little earlier, and hated to hear it. Like many my age, grew up enjoying that silly show and the very shapely Ellie Mae.

    She was, from all reports, true to her character. Loved animals. Great friends with Buddy Ebsen. Genuine person. May she rest in peace.
