Yes, we are doing it for basketball too. Same format however in order to prevent the massive logjam of having multiple players still in at the end of the season, I'm going to state clearly that I reserve the ability to throw monkey wrenches (MW) into the game. Those might be double pick rounds, triple pick rounds, or whatever I think of or if somebody thinks of a wrinkle then give me a shout. If the strikes are progressing then we won't need any MWs, fine. They will only be used if needed to thin the herd. Note that any double picks would also have a replay attached meaning one of those double plays could be reused so that anybody who plans out the year wouldn't be screwed by having their schedule wrecked (yes, I thought of that).
For those unfamiliar with the game, its simple. For each round of Sec games (twice weekly: Tues/wed/thus and sat/sun) you must pick one sec team to win. No point spread involved, just pick a winner. So if UK is playing Mississippi the pick should be UK. However once you pick a team you can not pick that team again. Meaning in round 2 you can not pick UK over TX am. You have to either pick aTm or another game, say Arkansas over VANDY. This means in round 3 you cannot pick either UK or Arkansas. If your pick is incorrect, if your pick loses, you get a strike. Three strikes and you are eliminated from the game. IF we have a double play round you will need to pick two teams (note, you could pick both teams from the same game and take a strike but also a sure win-interesting strategy that could come into play as I've seen it done successfully) but those two teams will be able to be reused at a later date (just those two teams). After 14 rounds, we start over however we may exclude teams if that happens (we will see how thing as going-this is that MW option I included). Got it?
Note: only sec vs sec games are in play. I'm not sure if anybody is stepping OOC but if they are those games are void
Any questions.
