Buy a pair of boots Mr President

The Kurds are a good people, a people who have been persecuted for centuries and fought to stay true to their beliefs and have never been aggressors or suppressors of their own people. They are about to be overrun and if they are they will summarily killed. Men, women, children, all of them.

Baghdad is about to be massed against, and will be overrun under the current approach. The Iraqi government will fall to lunatics who can legitimately be compared to the Nazis or the killing fields of Pol Pot.

We can stop what will be one of the historic genocides in history, but it will take more than half effort and golf outings. It will take the guts to do as americans have done since our earliest days, it will take living up to our promises and obligations to set things right.

The Kurds have done nothing but work with the US and support us in that region, and like so many others our political will blows away like a leaf in the wind and we leave our allies hanging, to suffer for our conceit.

For God's sake, and I invoke His name not as a curse but as a plea, do what must be done to save these people. We helped lead them down this road, and now we will let it be lined with the heads of their children. If there is a God surely he will damn those who allow such a series of events to happen, and it will be richly deserved.

If we do not this could very well join the ranks of the killing fields, the rape of Nanking, the Nazi ghettos, Stalin's purges, as a great travesty of mankind. We can stop it, and we won't, and I am ashamed as an American for what we are going to allow to pass.

I should add that now I understand what drove Americans, mostly Greeks but not all, to go abroad to fight the Nazis long before the US was involved. How they must have felt as they watched that scourge cross Europe, inevitably expanding till we'd be involved whether we liked it or not, and yet we waited.

A few of our insane citizens, who should be jailed or deported (or just shot) have traveled to join ISIS. I would like to start a campaign for a few hundred thousand well armed Americans to go fight with the Kurds, let us have the surplus MRAPS and M-16s our government is giving to cattle inspectors and BLM men and let them be put to good use.

Totally agree. Obama is the biggest piece of S..t we have ever had in the WH. He and the democrats are allowing the Kurds to be slaughtered, their blood is on his hands along with the democrat party for not forcing him to do something.

Will any ally ever depend on us again, can we be trusted. Israel is next, Obama has signaled terrorists and Muslims he is with them

I never thought I would say this but I hope for a military coup soon. Obama needs to be in jAil now

Too many "Yes men" in the upper echelons of the military apparatus. Put there by this monster in the WH. Not gonna happen. I am sure there are many that believe like we do, but they're not in the right positions to effect necessary change.

Not to mention that were this to happen, it would in effect send the message that the United States of America is no better off now than a third world bananna republic.
We can thank a lot of people for this fall from grace. Too many to even begin with, but we could start with most politicians on any level, most public school educators for falling prey to the fallacies of socialism, and it goes on and on and on and on. But mostly, we can blame ourselves, because we let it happen, slowly, immeasurably, one thing at a time, over almost 10 decades now through the poison of progressivism and socialism combined.

Not only what is posted above but Turkey is sitting out too. Their reasoning is that since the USA isn't sending troops, neither are they. Off course I suspect eventually ISIS/ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria/Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) will morph into ISIST/ISTIL (Islamic State in Iraq Syria and Turkey/Islamic State in Iraq Turkey and the Levant) and whatever other country they can annex.
