Trinity Head Coach Beatty actually sounded kind of upbeat and optimistic for as terribly as Trinity has played to this point.

LOL! These announcers are talking about how upbeat Trinity is after playing possibly the worst 1st half in the history of Trinity football. Obviously, none of these guys were around when Trinity got its a$$ handed to it by Butler in the 1970 State Championship game. THAT, was the game from hell!
I was a sophomore then. My junior year, we continued in that pattern, finishing 3-6-1. Yeah, you're reading that right. The last game of the season we played Male @ Manual Stadium. Tie game. I remember that one in particular because of 2 things:1)the weather changed dramatically from the start of the game to the end. The weather & temperature started out around 60-something degrees, sunshine, nice........about the end of the 1st quarter the temperatures dropped into the 20's and it SNOWED, hard; 2)there was a fight at the end of the game that I'll never forget because I watched the Male side of the stadium pour out of the stands and onto the field. Major, major fight, they had to call in the Louisville Police to clear the field.

Thanks dan! I am kinda thinking the 7 game streak against St. X maybe falls tonight. Trinity just can't stay out of their own way tonight.

I haven't heard a temperature called out tonight, but it has been very windy and raining hard for most of the game. And it is the first of October in Louisville, so that's about right.

Only about 26,000 at this game tonight. Attendance for this game is really down, most likely because of the bad weather. But only about 26,000 at the game? Still bigger than a lot of college games, but very sub-par for Trinity-St. X.

Hopefully we see them again in the playoffs. St. X deserved to win this game, they just came to the game on a mission, and Trinity committed mistake after mistake after mistake.
