They're gonna absolutely melt down. They were already bitching about the other schools recruiting him being dirty from the moment they saw his list. Not just us, every school on the list was dirty and cheating if he didn't pick UofL.

UL-suck Jody Demling: I will be SHOCKED if UL continues to recruit him; won't be shocked if he visits a nearby school very soon.
Hope UK lands him now.

Good. Cardinal tears make me happy. Especially when they're crying that we took a recruit from them.

They are already throwing out the $$$$$ and saying he is worthless; stabbed them in the back, etc.
Reel him in, Cal!!!

Re: So Much For UL's #1 Class Ranking; 5* Antonio Blakeney Decommits From UL
I thought he was destined for UK from the first time I saw him on video and read about him in recruiting reports. May not wind up that way, but being a decommit from UL shows he has good sense anyway.

what happened? did he finally visit the campus? Meet their fans? Fact check Pitino's claims about his NBA placements? All of the above?

When Cal announced the Pro Day concept, I thought of Blakeney and wondered if he was seeing all the innovative ways Cal showcases players for the NBA while Rick struggles in that area. Maybe Blakeney finally saw it, too.

Re: So Much For UL's #1 Class Ranking; 5* Antonio Blakeney Decommits From UL
UL will have I think 3 pro players next year
Garcia
Dieng
Clark
While 5 star players like
Siva
Samuels
Play for peanuts
And not to mention 5 star Blackshear has no career
and his coach said it was a mistake he came to UL and
two days later Rick makes it up to him by naming him

Re: So Much For UL's #1 Class Ranking; 5* Antonio Blakeney Decommits From UL
This. I'm befuddled by it when it happens. Rick is a good coach, a HOF coach and a good talker, and he does develop players, just not for a pro career. The facts of the situation just don't make going to UL the right decision, he doesn't have the record of career development to make it make sense for 5* guys. Why take the risk when more proven schools are available?

Re: So Much For UL's #1 Class Ranking; 5* Antonio Blakeney Decommits From UL
Always happy to see bad news for UofL that does not involve injuries (Can't wish injury on any player).
On a general view I cringe when I think of shoe companies advising high school students in any way. The Jordan game is a pretty big deal to big time players and is up there with the McDonald's game for elite players.
I hate that Adidas used its influence with Wiggins and I am not all that thrilled with Nike, allegedly, raising the possibility of Blakeney not getting invited to the Jordan game due to picking UofL or an adidas school.
Just because Nike flexed its muscles and that potentially benefits UK does not mean that it is in the best interests of the game. But with Adidas doing similar things it balances the playing field.
With that said let's see if this is a young man we can sign.
