Re: Mythbusters fans
Yeah, just saw it a bit ago. Pretty surprised, but I imagine the show is just scaling back. Been on 10 years, I'm betting the ratings are soft given the number of episodes they are doing this season. At the peak it was 22-24 done in 2 groups, looks like this one will be about half that. If they have half the episodes they don't need two teams.
The build team have their own facility and production teams, so I doubt it's just them getting cut, it's the entire second unit. The show is aired in a bunch of other countries though, I'd think it's still enough money to do a full season run, but I bet we see a 12+/- show season from here till it wraps. The production quality seems to be up though, maybe they're going to make fewer shows but with a bigger budget for each.
Not that I'm happy about it, I'm not. I love Jamie and Adam, but I love the build team too. One of the very best shows on TV. These shows struggle while the crud on MTV seems to run forever.People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.

PS -- gotta be a pretty solidly rated show to make front page of Fox. Maybe it's just well targeted to us geeks.
