Thread: Perryville

    Perryville

Did anybody else see the reenactment today or is anyone planning to go tomorrow? Thus park is absolutely gorgeous, even with an amazing crowd and traffic like today. I really enjoyed it and may go back tomorrow, though there are some displays in the town I may visit instead.

What was cool today was when I was volunteering away from the park, but we could still hear the dorms, cannon and musket fire of the morning's event from a couple of miles away. "Hearing" a reenactment was a new experience, but I enjoyed it. It was a different sensation to hear it but not be able to see it.

I've been to the battlefield in Perryville but I've never seen the reenactment. They have one in West Liberty during their Sorghum Festival and I did hear that one without seeing it but it's a pretty tame affair compared to Perryville.
