Thread: Charlie Strong and Texas offense

Don't know how it finished, but saw they had 4 yards offense on their first 22 plays.
I say that not to ridicule Texas, but to point out in case we see some iffy stats in UK's game next Saturday. It happens. Bama was scoreless with two offenses, albeit without their presumptive starting QB. They will probably score during the season.

Re: Charlie Strong and Texas offense
Defenses are usually ahead of the offense plus they don't put everything in and won't show anything other than vanilla for those that have "cameras"

Re: Charlie Strong and Texas offense
Only time will tell, but I think Texas made a mistake taking Strong. I think he will struggle in that setting.

Re: Charlie Strong and Texas offense
Strong's tenure at Texas will be one to watch. I don't think Strong is the personality to lead a program like Texas. I do question his offense as well.
But unlike Saban, Cal, Spurrier, Mack Brown I just don't think Charlie is the CEO type. A good football coach at a school where the coach is king.
I don't think he will be successful for Texas expectations but looking forward to the rodeo.
