Grocery shopping on the coast

Was on the Miss coast tues and wed and went to my favorite seafood store. Big wholesaler that also sells to the public.

So much fish to choose from, but I picked up 3# of 16-20 count gulf shrimp, 5# of boiled crawfish???dinner tonight while wife is gone....and some pompano filets. Never had the pompano before but understand a delicious mild fish. They have started showing up in the Biloxi area so this might be a good thing

Sorry jazy, I've eaten it before, but that was in a seafood restaurant in Jupiter. A long, long time ago. I had a choice of grilled, blackened, or fried, and I opted for the fried. It was delicious, very mild, kind of flaky, IIRC.
