Been trying to remember what movie I remember him from. Finally had to cheat and IMDB it. He was the reporter in Red Dragon.

Very sad, this heroin scourge is out of control and is taking a vengeance on those with the disease of addiction. The price is down and the quality is up along with the availability. With the crack down on opiates (prescription drugs) forcing the price of pills up and the availability down, heroin is filling the void in being cheaper easier to acquire and sadly more deadly.

Younger kids/teens will suffer the most as there is no longer gateway drugs taking them to the bottom, heroine will not allow many second chances or treatment.

Very good actor, really enjoyed him and how he played his roles. Thought he played a good 'spook' in "Charlie Wilson's War", (can't remember the name of the movie, but Mark Wahlberg & Burt Reynolds were in it, about the pornography film industry in the 70's), saw him in several other movies, thought he was a solid actor.
But.........as some do, he made bad choices in relation to his personal health and drug use. I hate that he's dead, but those bad choices sometimes have fatal consequences.

Boogie Nights. I enjoyed it, kind of humorous with several famous actors.

Yeah, that's right, "Boogie Nights". Just couldn't remember that title for some reason. And yes, several very good actors/actresses in that film.

He had a wide range. I know he probably didn't have an athletic bone in his body, but his portrayal of a grizzled traditional baseball guy (Art Howe) in Moneyball was spot on. He won't get a lot of credit for it, but I thought the quality of acting was as good as some of the more notable roles he had.

    Addiction is horrible. RIP.
