Beam, the maker of Jim Beam and Maker's Mark bourbons along with other liquor brands, has agreed to be acquired by Japan's Suntory Holdings Ltd. for approximately $13.62 billion.

Breaks my heart. I hate seeing a KY product go to foreign interests. Nothing against the Japanese - just wish it could have stayed "in the family" so to speak. Guess it is hard to turn down that much money though.
