    Universities and their average GPAs

    Just for fun.

Some of this information is dated, but will use the most recent year the website gradeinflation.com has for each school.

    Duke - 3.44 (steady increase over the years. In 1932, it was 2.25. In 1959, moved to 2.40. 1979, up to 2.90. In 1991, 3.25. In 1999, 3.33. In 2007, 3.44. Wow.)

    Kentucky - 2.98
    Alabama - 2.90
    Auburn - 2.75

North Carolina Chapel Hill - 3.16
    Vanderbilt - 3.32
    Indiana - 3.16
    Miami - 3.05 (but 1999)

Here's the site if you want to just pick out a few random ones yourself.

Interesting stuff. I just skimmed over the study but it sounds like competition for students is driving up gpa's. I shoulda waited another 20 or 30 years to go to school. I probably would have made the dean's list, lol!

Kind of surprised since more kids than ever are now going to college.
