I'm just one stomach flu away from my goal weight.
Maybe not but he's signed enough of the various proposals into law that he will be the most anit-gun candidate on the GOP slate. The ban on gun ownership by anyone on the terror watch list sounds good until you find out that the list is secret and you can't find out if you're even on it, it is rife with errors both clerical and investigative, and most any agent at the FBI can put a name on there without review. It's very difficult to get your name cleared, and you would just get rejected for a purchase and not be given a reason why. Not to mention that there's no way for a dealer to verify if someone is on the list or not b/c the FBI won't tell FFLs that kind of thing, and they don't have it integrated into NICS.
But other than being based on a list that is inaccurate and secret and unaudited and being unworkable if not outright illegal in its implementation it's a whale of a law.
Like you said, he's not an idiot. He's smart, but he's "poliitical smart". He signs the stuff that will sell, cuts the stuff that would to more political harm than good to his future. Too many Americans are getting too sick of that, esp in the GOP, for that to sell IMO. We'll find out though b/c he's clearly running.
People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back.
Speaking of gun love, here's gun porn:
