Couple o-questions, great one.
First, does Home Depot carry those in store? The link has them as discontinued online.
Second, is this correct?--I read (from some link, somewhere, while searching for those Defiant brands) a discussion that claimed something like a 500 lumens flashlight isn't 4x brighter than a 125 lumens flashlight; it's only like 40% brighter--a significant improvement, to be sure, but if you're looking at a Mag lite at 125 lumens that claims a 79-hour battery life, and a 500 lumens Defiant with an 8-hour battery life, it might make me tend toward the former, rather than the latter, especially if I'll be using it a ton.
Here's the 131-lumens Mag lite--it's 3D cell, rather than 3C (I do like the idea of C batteries, rather than D, if I can get it), but that 79-hour run time is insane, even if it's only a fraction of it in real life.

(Note--in doing some digging, it looks like what happens is it goes down to like 40% of normal power in about the same 8 hours the 2-Cell one uses up. From there, it just barely diminishes over time. At 79 hours or so, it's at 10% brightness, or about 13 lumens. So if you're really needing 130+ lumens, you won't have it long, and if you need even 50-60 lumens, you will only have that about 8 hours. But if you want to just have one around, with spare batteries for the major power, and it "always" working otherwise, just for a small light, that battery life is crazy.)
