  1. Re: 2016 Walking, Exercise, Weight Loss Member Challenge Thread

I'm going to follow doctor's orders, but the nurse I spoke with yesterday after my surgery gave me a sheet that said no running for 4 weeks, no lifting weights for 4 weeks, etc.

    I'll talk to him...

    Re: "internal" HVAC part replacement

I didn't ask, but he didn't act like it was astronomically stupid for them to have done what they did--just "they should've" done it, almost like, "anybody with any common sense would've."

    Here's...

Little eye surgery for me tomorrow

    It's a long story.

I was hit in the eye with a rock when I was 9, creating a trauma-induced cataract. Couldn't see out of my left eye for 17 years, until obtaining an intraocular lens implant....

    Re: "internal" HVAC part replacement

ok...got a 2nd opinion. The guy that came out is the nephew of one of my very best friends. They have a 5* rating with over 200 reviews on (Google/Yelp/something). Good company, but smaller....

Little eye surgery for me tomorrow

Thanks, all. Hopefully it helped. Just been dizzy since being home. It sounds weird, but it's safe, they basically paralyze the optic nerve for up to 24 hours. I'm already doing better. My brain was...

Little eye surgery for me tomorrow

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Should be easy, but it is a surgery, so I don't take it too lightly either.

Little eye surgery for me tomorrow

Shouldn't be a big deal, but my guy is trying to get my eye pressure down. Multitude of drops and an eye "procedure" with a laser failed to contain it at the end of last calendar year, so a little...

    Re: "internal" HVAC part replacement

Yeah, it's just the internal stuff. It's in my garage which is attached to the house, very easy to get to. Outside big unit thing with the fan under the grates and all of it sitting on a concrete pad...

    Re: General COVID vaccination thread

Wife had her 2nd Pfizer vaccine yesterday; woke up this morning with a fever but nothing bad. She and I drove 3 hours to a musical performance tonight and she "passed" the temperature gun test...

    "internal" HVAC part replacement

The outside thing is new. It's not quite a year old. They did us right on that one.

All of this is the internal stuff. I don't know what anything is. I just come here, gripe, get people to comment...
  12. "Handy" calendar input on phone...infuriating...any way around this?

Well, that link has expired now... I was going to try to record it so you could see everything. If I get another one, I will.
  13. "Handy" calendar input on phone...infuriating...any way around this?

Not with that one, you can't.
  14. "Handy" calendar input on phone...infuriating...any way around this?

It is a terrible flaw. Or if there is a solution, it is not readily apparent to me.
  15. "Handy" calendar input on phone...infuriating...any way around this?

    There is not.

I give you credit. I had not thought about changing to landscape mode. Unfortunately, that didn't work either.

    Terrible flaw.

  17. "Handy" calendar input on phone...infuriating...any way around this?

So...this comes up from time to time.

I have to input my name and date of birth on a "patient portal." I type my name, fine. The date line had a calendar "pop up" for easy convenience.

Not the outside part--we had that replaced last year, but the internal part...coil, return, I don't know what everything is, but apparently we have a freon leak so either the coil needs to be...
  20. Re: If you have Sprint/T-Mobile and want a Streaming TV Service (or already have YTTV

I have T-Mobile and YouTube TV, but I hate having to "cancel" the existing subscription, then re-subscribe. I get that they'll keep your DVRs for 21 days, etc., but I hate the hassle.
  21. 2016 Walking, Exercise, Weight Loss Member Challenge Thread

Haven't weighed, but I have definitely gone the wrong way. Well, I have weighed, I guess, at 228.5 at the doctor's office, but that's a little apples and oranges. Weighing in the afternoon, fully...

    Is ammunition becoming more available?

    Is ammunition becoming more available?

Oh yeah. Same. I drove 20 miles (45 round-trip, actually) just before prices really jumped when local ammo was scarce, but I stocked up (for me, not for you and Suncat) a bit, and wouldn't...
  25. Re: 2016 Walking, Exercise, Weight Loss Member Challenge Thread
