If one reads the thread title here and then jumps into the middle of the thread, it is a bit of a surreal experience.
I chuckled as well. Glad you watched to that point. They're short videos, but I feared people would get bored before the end.
And a PSA.... Your needs are being met. Hang in there.

We were down to about 3 or 4 rolls for our two bathrooms, combined. My daughter went to Sams and I had her pick up one of the big 45 roll packs just before the big run started. We usually don’t get that large a quantity, but it’s good TP (Charmin like), and has a good price. One of the kids then asked us to pick up a 4-roll pack for them weekend before last, but then never claimed it, so right now we probably have 45 rolls on hand.
BTW, the Walmart we usually shop at was cleaned out of TP weekend before last, but the Dollar General had a decent supply.
I just checked. I have more cans of shave cream than I do rolls of Bathroom Tissue. Need to work on inventory management.
I score 2 packs yesterday. Had to meet a guy down at the corner. Paid his runner, drove down a block and a kid shoved them thru the rear window of my car.
Actually one came from.a truck.stop in TN ( an employee travelling picked it up).and the other at big lots
I need to take inventory. May have to make a run soon.
my latest order was hijacked in north carolina. I doubt it will survive in captivity until they complete the trial proceedings.

You know it's hard to take an ugly turn when you started with a threat topic of toilet paper, but I think it's done it anyway.
Old people hour at Kroger’s this morning was a new experience.
First of all I’m 61, and me and about five other people were the oldest people in a gathering of about 30-40 people in line this morning five minutes before opening.
They all raced towards the direction of the paper aisle some in a full sprint. When I made it to the aisle there was still plenty for me to get a 24 pack which will hold us for a long while. There was an attendant there telling people they could only get one per family, which in several cases went unheeded.
When I made it to the check out there were 3-4 carts of TP that they had confiscated from people trying to purchase more than one. There were also some large angry women cussing at anybody with a Kroger vest on, about how this is America and it’s their right to buy as much as they want, all while threatening to never shop there again. The people within 6-12-18... feet from were rejoicing that that group of people wasn’t going to shop there anymore.
I asked the checker woman about old people hour, and she said they really didn’t have a way to control it. It’s not like they had big muscle bound bouncers at the door checking ID’s. It was their hope that most people would respect the spirit of the request.

I went to Kroger this morning at 7:00 and all they had was something really cheap, four rolls in a pack, for like $0.89. I figured in a pinch it would do.
Pinch :sHa_dielaughing:
I don't think I'm coming back to this thread.
I may also move to another country that has no internet.
A logical explanation of the great TP "shortage"

It's just DW and me right now, and we're "down" to 2 12 packs. I think we'll be OK for the foreseeable future.
I was at our local Trader Joes yesterday and they were selling individual wrapped rolls for .69 each, limit 2/shopper. That's the first time I've seen individual rolls for sale.
When they start selling it by the sheet we'll know the end is near. I think that's in Revelations. Something about when dollar bills get used for hygiene b/c they're cheaper than toilet paper.
I was in Costco Friday afternoon around 1:30 and was shocked that they had the big 30 roll packs of Charmin. I think I’m set for awhile.
Hopkinsville seems to stay out of TP. Thankfully we have it in Muhlenberg for the most part.
Leaves are finally starting to come out. In a couple of weeks we'll all be fine.
Have you noticed everything reads like a joke in this thread? Hard to get analytical even though its a solid subject.

We're "down" to 25.
I was out Saturday at Costco, Trader Joes and Kroger and there was lots of TP available at Costco and TJs. But we're good so I didn't get any.
I even found hand sanitizer! TJs had it. It wasn't on the shelf but they had a sign at the register "Yes, we have hand sanitizer--limit 2." I felt like I robbed somebody. :D
If you need hand sanitizer, Casey Jones will ship you a half gallon. $20 per half gallon and $5 to ship. Medical grade sanitizer.
