"5,000 Chinese security personnel on the ground in Iran to protect Chinese projects, and there will be additional personnel and material available to protect the eventual transit of oil, gas and petchems supply from Iran to China, where necessary, including through the Persian Gulf," says the Iranian source."
Sounds ominous.
Its enough to deal with China's increase in militarization of the South China Sea.
Now it looks like they will expand into the Persian Gulf to guarantee safe passage of Iranian/Chinese oil.
But even more importantly, we must pull ahead of (or even with) the Chinese in the area of quantum teleportation or we are going to find ourselves far behind the Chinese in a major technological area with equal military and economic implications.
They are the first (and only?) to have sent information using quantum entanglement. And that information travels at over 200 times the speed of the current fastest tech. And it is 100 percent non-hack'able.
Probably both the starting line and the finish line when it comes to the human technological future.
And this is on the doorstep, within a ten year window of practical implementation.
It should give the French and the Germans warm and fuzzy feelings for sure.
