* Play KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky v Vanderbilt *
(Stealing one from UKFlounder last year...)
1. Predict the Kentucky margin of victory (+) OR loss (-). If you believe that Kentucky will lose, make sure that you make it clearly known with a -- [minus sign], or something else.
2. Predict the game high scorer, AND the total number of points he will score in the game. NOTE--it does not have to be a Kentucky player for this KSR point.
3. OVER/UNDER 36.5. Number of total rebounds for Kentucky; predict whether OVER 36.5 or UNDER 36.5, and by how many.
4. PARM. This is the PAR divided by minutes played for Kentucky’s guard trio of Askew, Mintz and...Allen. Use up to 3 decimal places. (For example, if they have a PAR of 60 while playing 90 minutes, this would be .667.
Tie Breaker: number of free throw attempts in game, both teams combined

1. UK + 10
2. Allen, 22 (hey, I thought I'd be the first to predict him. He'll probably score 0, but what the hey)
3. Over by 3.5
4. 44+7+10/98 = 0.622

Oh, we should've saved this...

Re: * Play KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky v Vanderbilt *
Options for this year (adjust the exact requirements as you want or need to):
Boston T Party (Three point attempts Times Turnovers)
When you wish upon a Sarr: Points x rebounds x blocks x fouls for Olivier
Mintz played: Over/under for Damion
Devin Up: will Askew’s (pick stat or stats) be/combine to be less or more than 7 and by how much
Jackson 5: which of Isaiah’s stats (one or multiple combined) end up closest to 5 in a game
Buyer Be Ware: Lance’s rebounds times blocks
😁

Excellent!
I get so mired in the mundane, I love mixing it up. Great choices!

There is the winner of the first point. Cats win by three, and this was closest.

Mr. Olivier Sarr led all scorers with 24 points and this is the only correct selection. Great job on earning the second point.
You know, looking at the box score if you had told me that three Vanderbilt players would score 18 points and another player would score 16, I would have sworn we were going to lose.

Perhaps the weakest part of Kentucky's game last night was the rebounding, as we were severely outrebounded and only managed 29 rebounds the entire game. We had two players select under, but nobody selected under 7 1/2, which would have been the exact correct number. This one was closest and earns the point.

Re: * Play KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky v Vanderbilt *
I hope I did this one right. I show the combined PAR for Askew, Mintz and Allen to be 52. I show their combined minutes to be 90, for a PARM of .578.
A lot of math here, but if I did this correctly, I show Catfan73 at .603 as the closest, just 0.025 off. The fourth point goes here.

Re: * Play KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky v Vanderbilt *
With two of the four points, blueboss does not require a tiebreaker for the win. Congratulations, blueboss.

Re: * Play KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky v Vanderbilt *
Darrell I only had 49 for the Par, could be wrong just checking.

Yikes. Math is hard.
Let me redo this....
Points: Askew 11, Mintz 11, Allen 14.
Assists: 3, 2, 0
Rebounds: 0, 3, 5
That's 49.
Oops.
I need to recalculate.

Well, I'm redoing everything, but I (incorrectly) calculated the PARM as .578.
.578 - .523 = .055
.578 - .603 = .025
I'm not sure I'm going to use Flounder's PARM again...it takes almost nothing to confuse me, and I confused myself and got it wrong.
I'll redo it in a minute...gotta take a call here.

Whewee! I love getting the skunk out of the room. I was beginning to wonder if I’d ever get any questions correct let alone win one.
..oh wait, maybe I didn’t win.

Oops...here's the corrected result.
PAR = 49, not 52.
49/90 = .544
Catmanjack had an incredible pick of .545, almost perfect pick! Give this man the point.

Re: * Play KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky v Vanderbilt *
Now I have Blueboss and Catmanjack with 2 points each, and a tiebreaker needed...dum de dum....
Total free throws in the game were....46.
Blueboss guessed 35, not bad, but Catmanjack guessed 41, excellent.
Going to do an "EGAD" here--Exercise Game Administrator Discretion -- and induct both players into the Hall of Fame today. Both earned 2 points, so it wasn't like a weak effort, and with the Administrator error, we're going to call it good for both gentlemen. Congratulations to you both for the induction!

I appreciate the push, but I don’t want to take away from CMJ’s 3/5 picking to my 2/5.

Gracious of catmanjack. It's not sharing, you both win!
I view the tiebreaker like a penalty kick shootout in soccer. Technically, there's a team that advances, but the game ended in a 2-2 draw, even with one team winning the PK shootout. But my screw-up, just makes me feel better. Don't take that away from me.
Hey, accept the good break this time. I'm sure I'll give you a bad break on some other rule lol.

Well, I’ll take it, since it’s not just a participation ribbon.
Thanks guys, especially CMJ for the tip of the hat.
