I don't buy it either. The election balloting battles in politics are as old as politics in this country, and the military vote gets targeted like any other. Maybe more b/c it's such a consistently strong voter for one side.
It's also lower than low. Paying people in cigarettes, voter fraud, that sort of thing is low, you're subverting the American process, but disenfranchising US servicemen and women should get you a good view on the train ride to hell.
