Why not pronounce consonants?
It’s like listening to drooling idiots, the vocal fry, the uptalk? and the dropping of consonants, say “mow-uhns” for the word “mountains”.
I hear it especially on NPR but also in other media, like tv reporters just starting out.
If a “professional” cannot pronounce a consonant, it’s not worth the aggravation of listening to them.
Re: Why not pronounce consonants?
That stupid habit has not invalided KY YET. We have enough odd speaking habits and word butchering here locally without adding another one.

T-glottalization
It is an affectation on almost every case. Not, perhaps,” often” but cetainly “buh uhn” or button.
