13,798 today. Did stairs on break at work for first time in over a month (140 steps) so that helped also. Could tell it'd been a while though. Usually do 8-10 times but only did 6 today.
New record in my last 24 hours, 18,001. Worked to get over 18,000 lol. Would love to get to jgirl one time. Walked 2.3 miles tonight, had to back down a tad, last night got me
18k is outstanding, Jazy. I figure that, give or take, 2,000ish steps is a mile. So you figure you did 8-9 miles. That's great.
18,852 for me today. Did the stairs at work again and made it a point to stay active most of the shift. Got home and worked out in the yard (unloading half a pickup of river rock for landscape) for a couple of hours. Then the wife and I went to the mall and out to eat. Great day
Thanks Mick. I am fortunate to live so close to my work.
Anyway, over 16,500 tonight after barely getting over 10,000 the past 2 days, but have been over 10K every day since Monday
Good job Flounder, I have bragged to many friends about your walking to work.
13,967 today but didnt do much tonight, rest time. Had lost 14 thru this am but that will change in the morning after our anniversary dinner tonight. Fried crab claws, crab bisque, redfish and half of a key line pie. Lol. Will do better tomorrow

12,402 yesterday on a 16 hour day at work so I was very happy with that. 17,813 today, did nearly 11,000 while at work. Definitely wish I had joined this thread sooner cause I'm consciously making sure I get over the 10,000 mark each day. Looked back at the 2 weeks prior to vacation and was averaging 6-7,000 those weeks.
15643 today which was good since I didnt walk last night after 9 pm. Played golf so that got me up and I walk to the ball often.
Walked tonight, 2 miles. I did go up 1.5# today which is ok. But I havevmoved my belt two notches and down 1 pant size
3792 yesterday, 4279 Saturday, 4408 Friday. Headed out of town for a wedding, and just couldn't get anything going.
I'm ok with being at the bottom, holding the rest of you up. I just don't want the gap to be as large as it is. I have to get to the point where I get 6k every day, and "exercise days" I can go way over. Then my average won't be too bad.
12,402 yesrterday
Today may be a slow day as post work I'm immediately heading over to watch the Reds play so while that will be a few hundred, perhaps a thousand or so, steps to get to the ballpark, I'll be doing a lot of sitting tonight (though hopefully a lot of standing up and cheering too, :) )
17,800 Sunday, 15,900 Monday, only 7,737 today which was kind of a bummer. Throwing out the day fishing a couple of weeks ago today broke a string of 16 straight days of over 10,000. Was busy (on my feet walking) most of the day from 11-8 but probably did close to 2 hours of driving during that period also. Just makes you realize that if you don't really consciously exercise, work out in the yard cutting grass or something, jog/run or some significant activity then 10,000 steps can be tough to get in.
15222 yesterday. When walking last night my back started getting tight and my left knee started hurting, all from the two ruptured discs in my low back. Kept thinking about getting thru it and getting my count up, that I couldn't stop. Lol. I didnt do the whole 2.6 miles but got over 2 miles. Got in and after my shower, was drenched in sweat, used one ice pack on back and one on knee. Climbing those hills was tough last night
Off today, started early and didn't stop till about 5:30. Cut grass, weed eating, cleaned garage,etc.... 31,500 for the day. Actually had 30,000 at 5:30 when I came in.
18032 today had to really work for that
Only 6256 yesterday, but I'm done with post-work meetings/ballgames for a few days now. I should get over 10K today and I do have potential for some nice days this weekend even if I do go into to work a bit tomorrow morning.
So close last 24 hours, 19919. I really wanted 20000. I walked earlier tonight but not quite early enough. :). We are going to the movies tomorrow night so no walking tomorrow. Hope to still get 10,000 tomorrow
Great day jazyd. Been able to do stairs at work every day on lunch so getting back into that has really helped my numbers. Been getting 8-10,000 in before leaving work at 2 each day so it's been pretty easy to get good numbers. 15,800 Thursday, 15,000 Friday. Working 16 hours today but have got 10,400 in so far. Probably won't get more than 1-2,000 the rest of the day thought. Unless we have a breakdown or problems of some kind don't really plan on doing a lot of walking rest of evening.
A new high today - 20,235 as of now though I may get a couple hundred more tonight. I'm not sure my legs will let me do much tomorrow. I'll be happy if I can half of today's total, but time will tell
Good job. Because I walked earlier last night I got to 11,322 today and lost bout 400 when I forgot the thing when we went to the movie. Came home and rested. Will get back at it tomorrow play golf after church
God job by all this week

Horrible week. Had 8777 yesterday, ended up walking to ballpark and to Railroad Park twice last night, or it would have been horrible, too. That was my 2nd highest of the week.
This week will be better. I am just so sedentary with my work, I have to do "things" to fix it.

13457 yesterday which was okay. Didnt walk last night as I was really tired. Walked this morning but quit after 2 miles, knee was hurting, twisted yesterday ATF the golf course. 12781 today
Great day today 20011, 17800 yesterday. This has been great motivation for me since I joined in. Went back to 1st of this month and my average has been 15,200 daily. Now I find myself trying to get to the 15000 mark each day. took the dogs for a walk around the block the other night at 9:30 cause I was about 1000 short for the day. Haven't really seen much weight loss yet but I'm confident that it will come soon. Been doing stairs at work during lunch and the jeans definitely are fitting better. Up from 6 reps to 10 on the stairs and walking a lot more during the day at work.
AshCat that is great. Like you this is my motivation. We knw Darrell is a lawyer and sits a lot but what do you do to get that many steps in a day
I'm an electronic technician at a steel mill. Work on a production line that runs 24/7. Line is about a half mile long from one end to the other with one section that is 4 stories high. Have a daily routine that I do and then we are on call for repairs/breakdowns during the shift. Line runs really well and basically we are insurance policy, when we're not busy we're making money, when we're down and we're working we're losing money. Have an office/shop but can basically be anywhere on line at any time so I have a lot of freedom. When I'm trying to get some exercise I do the stairs a few times on my lunch time, usually 8-10 times. I then walk through the basement to cool down. Can also walk outside along the river road that is between line and the Ohio during good weather. It's really not a problem to get 10,000 steps in at work by just getting out and walking around during the day. I also have a home inspection business on the outside so do a lot of walking when I'm doing inspections also.
busy man. My routine is similiar in that I own a retail store with my wife so I am up and moving all day, in the store, in the stockroom, out on errands, over to the whse. 10,000 isn't a problem if I pay attention and 12,000 has gotten easier with me walking 5 nights a week, or in the morning.
I am more aware of moving now with this challenge, getting up ofen instead of sitting, walking 5 days a week, watching what I eat and how much, trying to average 14,000 steps a day with a goal of 15,000 per day.
Sounds similar to my goals. Getting ready to leave for an inspection in a few. Off work at the mill next two days but have 3 inspections tomorrow and 2 Thursday. Yes, had been reasonably satisfied with the 10,000 a day till I got involved on here, along with deciding it was time to get back into shape. I never really let myself get too far out of shape, when I get lazy and creep up to around 210 that's usually when I get motivated and get it back down to the mid 190"s. Going to try to do better than that this time.
