Looks like they did one for A Fistful of Dollars as well.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
There's a new series found on the Paramount channel called Yellowstone. It takes place in Montana and premieres tonight. Maybe bigsky can provide some insight...
From IMdB:
Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders - land developers, an Indian reservation, and America's first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny - where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world's largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both. Written by ahmetkozan
Hoping bigsky can shed some light on this.

I’m eagerly waiting on Yellowstone tonight.
Plus I stumbled over a series on the Audience channel, Condor.
Kind of a spin on the bookSix Days of The Condor... and the movie spin Three Days of The Condor.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
Not sure I can sit through more than a few, but all of the Space 1999 episodes appear to be on youtube.. Watched the first one where the nuclear dump site blows up and sends the moon hurdling into deep space.
For the time it was actually a big production budget, and I loved their "Eagle" flying ship design. Otherwise it had about the worst acting you could have put on the screen, which is tough to get b/c it was english and they have plenty of good actors to cast. The acting was even more wooden than I remember.

I'm re-watching Justified just to fill in time. A lot of actors from Deadwood appear in it.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
I thought Yellowstone was decent enough to continue watching but it didn't exactly grab me. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give episode one a 6.8. I'll watch it a few weeks more and see how it goes.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
A head's up, Luke Cage Season 2 starts 6/22 (tomorrow) on Netflix. I thought season 1 was good.

I’d have to agree, bit of a slow start, but, there was a lot of ground to cover with the intros. Lots of back stories...

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
I recently watched a movie "Whiplash". If you like Jazz music, this is a good one. Its about a jazz drummer who goes to a music school and encounters a teacher with rather untraditional teaching methods.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
Saw Luke Cage Season 2 was out, definate watch for me

Having Kelly Reilly on there definitely doesn't hurt.

Anybody catch the season opener of Preacher??
Just when you thought it couldn’t get more bizarre, it did.

I haven't been following it. I see it's starting it's 3rd season which is a good sign.

I thought Whiplash was an amazing movie and was probably the best movie of the year. I think it was definitely the best among the Best Picture nominees that I saw.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
For some reason I've started re-watching "Downton Abbey" (with Mrs. BEvans) and "The Wire" (when she's not around--definitely too rough for her taste). Both fun on re-viewing, but obviously in different ways.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
Yesterday's release of all 4k UHD Mission Impossible movies resulted in an almost complete sellout at Best Buy's. Same for Jack Reacher.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
Has anyone here seen Interstellar ? IMdB gives it high ratings but I'd like to hear from folks here.

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
I enjoy watching old movies just to see how they would go over today. Watched one that would be a train wreck if it came out in 2018 rather than 1976..."Manniquin" with Andrew McCarthy. Good lord, talk about sexual harassment at the workplace.

I think the '70's, '80's, & '90's were the heydays for that. It was on TV and at the movies and there wasn't a lot of uproar about it IIRC. It was a part of the culture. Benny Hill, for example.

But by the same token it was also the hayday of some great movies. 90% of the movies I watch come from the 80s and 90s. Once 2000 and beyond hit, the movie industry took a nosedive in originality and quality. In the 80s and 90s, the bad were really bad but the good were really good

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
Netflix has another season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee up now. 12 episodes
Take your time, they go fast.

All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
I finished Longmire. I enjoyed it, good change from DC and Marvel stuff. It was better as an A&E show than Netflix. It didn't change much but I didn't like small changes to the characters.
Finished season 3 of Supergirl the other night. I think I'll skip season 4. It had too much politics in it for me. I hope Arrow avoids that...
I'm interested in Krypton. I think it is on the Sci Fi channel. Anyone know if that will be politically slanted? I watch Sci Fi to avoid real life.......

Re: All Things Video Thread (Movie or TV)
Well, the latest Mission:Impossible is out and, so far, the reviews are pretty good with a chunk of them are saying it's the best of the franchise.

Good. I hope the Paramount app on Roku keeps all the shows. Will be my only way to watch it.

The new show after Better Call Saul, Lodge 49, may turn out to be good. I didn't think I'd like it at first but it may turn out to be one of those 'feel good' offerings.
