8-1 and headed for the last 3 outs for the Giants.
Ball game. Sandoval went yard, but to no avail. 8-3 Redbirds. :)
tonight was the good offensive night. Look at Molina, how often does he come up with big hits all year long. Kinda like Miller in basketball, does it all, is the glue to this team, rarely does a ball get by him, keeps runners very honest and close to the bag which at times can save a run here or there. Throw in what he does with the pitching staff and he is the MVP of this team.
Sure would like to wrap it up in St. Louis.
If he could just get us to the 6th. The pen has been soooooo good this year. I wish Lohse was on the mound tonight. No need to burn all that jet fuel back to the West Coast, close em out!
Game 5. Lance Lynn and his 8.59 ERA on the mound...
0-0 after 1...
Bases loaded and an inning ending double play.....:/
Goose eggs all around.
No score after 3.
Giants break loose for 4. 4-0.
Fundamental baseball. Cover bag. Throw to bag, but not to base. If base uncovered, get sure out.
I am so fuming mad.
Credit to SF taking advantage. Making plays to win.
We left the bases loaded in the 2nd inning. You have to score when this happens. This isn't the Astros we're playing.
4-0 going to the 6th
Hoping this guy makes an appearance

Sandoval goes yard for the 2nd night in a row. 5-0.
Left to go watch the end of a high school game around the corner from me where UK commit, Prattville (AL) kicker was playing, Austin Maginnis. Was a nice break from my frustration.
On to the 9th 5-0
Tip of the cap to the Giants. Well played tonight. On to game 6.
I really don't feel good about this, wasted too many opportunities last night and that bad throw by Lynn might be a bad sign.
7:37 EST first pitch at AT&T Park. Close em out Redbirds!
Late start for me on this one. Going to the 4th, 5-0 Giants. Ughhhhh
Old man mo is on the Giants side now. 6-1 and 3-3. Going to game 7.
unearned runs are killing this team, and no timely hitting. Giant pitchers are killing us inside. And imo the plate ump really hurt Carp tonight, would not give him any pitches on the black.
Just into the hotel to flip on the game, 1-0 Giants going to the bottom of the 2nd. Cardinals just wasted a big opportunity.
Down to the last of the house dollars now....smh
Really bad baseball tonight, happens.
Good year though considering we never had Carp, didn't have Berkman, didn't have craig to start the year, and lost Furcal the end of August. We win this series with Furcal playing, just shows how valuable he was last year in the WS, he steadies the defense and makes outstanding plays.
It seems like everything went downhill after Lynn threw the ball that hit second base the other night.
Crazy......
yep, should have been out of the inning. I wonder if he was trying to hold up as the SS wasn't near the bag, anyway it seemed to unnerve him and the series was never the same after. Plus the Cards could not get a hit when they needed it, can't leave runners on 2nd and 3rd that often w/o scoring and expect to win.
I'm not a major SF Giants fan but I do live out here. Hoping to cross off an item on my bucket list and attend one of the World Series games this year!
Good run while it lasted for the Cardinals. Given the roster and coaching losses after the World Series, I never expected them to be playing this late in the year. Go Redbirds!
