I made the mistake of watching the trailer for Contagion somebody just posted on Twitter & now I can't go to sleep.
I'll be batching it this weekend*, so looking for some Netflix/Amazon/Starz streaming recommendations. Thinking about starting "Man In The High Castle." Been saving that one.
It was going to be a glorious weekend of conference tournament action, but you know....
*--Mrs. BEvans, son and I were going to go visit my 87 y/o mother-in-law. Yesterday a co-worker said his wife was going in to get checked for "flu-like symptoms." We sent him home to take care of their baby and work from home. His wife wasn't tested because she didn't meet all the testing criteria, but she was told to go home and stay there. So out of an abundance of caution toward my mother-in-law I'm bowing out of this weekend's trip.
Watching the Marvelous Mrs Maisel, pretty good change.
Waiting on Ozark it will be back on shortly
Forgot I hadn't started the new season of Better Call Saul, so caught up on those.
Some of my favorite end-of-the-world/apocalypse movies:
--On The Beach
--The Postman (I can't help it, it's a guilty pleasure of mine)
--The Omega Man (looks kitschy now, and it probably was back then, too, but Charlton Heston as a bad-ass virus survivor is still pretty cool)
--Deep Impact (I prefer this one to the other asteroid movie, Armageddon, but I know I'm in the minority)
--The Book of Eli
Westworld season 3 starts tonight on HBO.

Not video per se, but still interesting if you're self-quarantining and looking for something to watch:

Can tell it’s headed in that direction.
Going to be watching lots of netflix in the coming weeks.....
Started "Ozark" today. On episode 3
I just watched the movie Knives Out and it's top notch. Reminds me of the Agatha Christie movies a bit. I got it through the Blu-Ray route so I can re-watch. Daniel Craig does a great job as the sleuth (with a southern accent) but you'll see more well known actors as well.

Finishing up season 3 of true detective, the series is good but not great.
Got 30 days free of CBS All Access, so starting Picard.
I just finished watching Dances with Wolves for the first time in a long while. Top notch...almost 4 hrs long.
Up to episode 3 on Westworld, and I have no idea what’s going on.
Edit: it’s starting to make a little more sense now... after watching E3.

My son is settling into life in Japan, and one thing he learned is that Netflix in Japan is the most awesome streaming service ever. He said they don't have HBO/Epix/Starz in Japan so basically all the movies that would normally be on those services are available through Netflix.
It all comes into focus, at times. I believe the writers wanted the audience to awake gradually as to what is going on. Perhaps accidentally interactive at first but intentionally as it progressed imo.
They will enhance that feeling off and on throughout the series.
I felt there were lots of low audio that makes you rewind and listen.
That actually adds to the story line.
Watching season 3 of Ozark along with season 5 of Fear the walking dead.
In 5 they crashed a plan trying to help out Logan and found a group of kids.
We also see a helicopter with the same people that will be in the new series beyond the walking dead.
Dwight joins the show looking for his wife.
Just watched "How to Fix a Drug Scandal" pretty good 4 hr mini series on netflix. True story on a drug lab scandal in Boston. Well done. Watched all 4 last night as I was sick and uo until 4 am.
Queing up Tiger King next
Mrs. BEvans stayed up to 4 am a couple of nights ago binging on "Love Is Blind" on Netflix.
I really enjoyed..

..season four on Prime. This is a great sci-fi series and season five will be coming up soon.
You will love the characters as the seasons progress. The humans of independent Earth, Mars, and the Belters struggle for the upper hand in the galaxy. And deal with alien life along the way.
Definitely your sci-fi fix..if you stay with it past the first couple of shows and let it all come into focus. This is one that has improved every step of the way and will certainly have a cult following for many years to come.
Finished Tiger King. Dumb as ####! Bunch of dumbass rednecks that I could not care less about. Waste of 6 hours
