Well, here we go again.
Couldn't sleep, got out of bed about an hour ago. Did some Devotional reading.
Started to get sleepy, took a sneezing fit and now I am wired for sound.
Ah, the joys of old age...
Back to Joshua for some more Devotional time...
Same. Have tried to get back to sleep for a while, have given up temporarily.
You all need to go see the hippie chick at your local Rainbow Blossom.

Anyone tried CBD oil for insomnia?
Lol!
Contemplation taking a pill. Tough day is on my mind. Had an idiot worker come in sick yesterday poss with covid and expose everybody working for me, found out an employee (different one) has been calling in prescriptions for controlled drug for the last 4 years under one of the other doctors name (and the doctor knew about it for 3 months and never informed me), both my parents sick (both currently at the Mayo clinic in Rochester MN), building a retirement home and got the quote on the price (way over budget) and accidently texted the info to a client.
Add my current rumination over my tax bill ( came way short due to sale of a house and a rental property resulting in a 5 digit shortfall..........
Cant imagine why I cant sleep
and today, to top it off, one of my techs reported to rehab today. Not sure what she is rehabbing...drugs, alcohol??? but then I have not noted any missing drugs (and I keep a very very close eye on them)--and its not the same one who is calling in prescriptions.
Damn Doc!! Screw work. Concentrate on the other stuff. Good Luck!
0400 haven’t been here for a while. Gonna grab one of the herb capsules the hippie chic at Rainbow Blossom hooked me up with...

So, is everybody sleeping well these days??

Hit or Miss. Been better than the worst of it, though.
Should have been a touchdown

Not even a question.
They never blew a whistle because a) knee never went down, b) no forward progress was stopped until c) ball broke the plane of the end zone...and continued further into the end zone, along with the helmet, upper torso and other parts of the body of Rodriguez, such that the field of play was behind all of them.
When they failed to blow the whistle because their instinct and training tells them not to blow the whistle unless a play is over, they saw the ball in the end zone. But nobody wanted to signal touchdown. That isn't an instinctual thing like the whistle blowing; it's a conscious act--one that requires reason, judgment, and a decision to make.
I have been part of a group of officials (mostly basketball, but some football) for two decades. All at lower levels, generally, high school to D3, D2 etc. with some lower level D1 occasionally). They all talk about how you don't even think when the whistle blows...it's automatic. No decision. Just happens.
Here, it didn't, because, well, their training and instinct kicked in to tell them it wasn't time.
But the 2nd part is the conscious, thoughtful decision. Do I signal a touchdown, or don't I?
Nobody wanted to make that decision. I don't know why. But nobody wanted to, and they didn't.
Then they were stuck with a predicament. What the heck do we do now? Let's slowly retrieve the ball from the end zone and put it back in the field of play, and figure it out with a replay. It gave them time to think. It gave the replay booth/SEC replay officials and boys in Birmingham time to reflect.
What are we going to do with this play?
Our options.
a) Pretend that his knee was down. But 1) no whistle blew, so that wasn't the call, and 2) the ball would've been marked well back of where it was marked had that been the very bad, very erroneous call anyway. So that could not have been it.
b) Pretend that his forward progress was stopped. But they blow whistles when that happens, too. Clearly in real time, there was no moment in which progress was halted, or really even slowed, and in replay, it was even more evident. But let's hold this thought for a minute and look at other options.
c) "Reverse" the call and call the touchdown. That would require them to acknowledge what thousands of people saw live in the stadium, what all players saw live on the field, what all officials saw live on the field, and what millions of people saw on television using the same replays the boys in Birmingham saw. It's unanimous among all those who saw who were not decision-makers...clearly, obviously, a touchdown. But let's hold this thought for a minute and look at one other option.
d) Huddle and abide by whatever directive is presented by replay. Perhaps they'll fix the screw-up (if it were inadvertent) or the intentional omission (if it wasn't). Or perhaps they'll ride that horse instead.
And that's what they did. They determined that we all saw a U.F.O. (Unidentified Field Object) that resembled a player, and resembled a football, both going over the plane of the goal, but not actually being the real player, or the real football, being carried over the plane fully and completely. Instead, they told the world it was a figment of our imagination. In effect, we were gaslighted by the officials and the boys in Birmingham.
There's no other explanation that makes sense.
Now, why that happened, I do not know. But it happened, as sure as I'm still boiling mad about it. As I said, I don't know what would have happened had they gotten it right. But I can only mirror what the AUBURN player said. He said it changed the game. Let me say that again. THE AUBURN PLAYER SAID it changed the game. Oh, he said it a little differently--he said UK's failure to get it in the end zone changed the game.
And, of course, that was the net effect.
I'll take his word for it.
Yeah, I'm still mad. You'd think I am old enough to get over that crap. I'm not.
Being mad in this situation is just bad for my health. I can handle being flaming mad if there is something I can do to correct the blatant, egregious, error made by a group of chimpanzees, but when I just have to rant and moan to my heart's content and then sit down and "TAKE IT", I am much better off to walk away and go punch something until that feeling of having been kicked in the scrotum subsides.
Adding insult to injury is the failure of ESPN to even mention the travesty.

Did they mention it on the SEC sports website?
NO!!!
I stayed away from the sports board and this forum as a whole today, just bothered about the game. I really felt like the whole game was a sucker punch to my gut. I had downplayed the whole season, calling it an exhibition and a bonus for whatever we get, so I don't get my hopes up too high, but I guess I really wasn't listening to myself.
I'll be back tomorrow. Needed a day off.
Have you seen an early line on that game yet?
Thanks
I have been struggling with sleeping issues for a while now. I do understand the struggle. I have been trying different products that might help me with my sleep issues. I have adopted a healthier routine with healthy foods, regular exercise but I still had a lot of trouble falling and saying asleep. I talked with different doctors and tried many different types of medications from melatonin to sleeping pills. I have been through it all.The one that I liked the most and that had the best effect in my opinion has been medial marijuana. I have been taking it before I went to bed for a few weeks and I slept like a baby without any side-effects in the morning. I have tried different products like joints hemp flowers oils but the one I liked the most were edibles. I have tried many different brands throughout the months but the one I liked the most was one that I ordered of this website: https://www.koalitymedicinals.com/. I like the range of products that they have as well as the fact that the shipping prices are not that high. I hope you guys will find this helpful a little bit at least
I actually woke up around 5:30 this morning and started fixating/stressing on a few work related issues and couldn’t go back to sleep.

For the first time in a long time.
2:35 Eastern and all is well (relatively speaking) in my little corner of the world.
Guys, I suggest a heavy course of sex and booze. May help, and if not you'll be less unhappy about not sleeping.
