Good basic southern chant, with just the right twang but still very clear.
It's going the way of the dodo b/c so much is online. Not a lot of old school auctions out there these days. Tobacco is gone, classic cars and cattle auctions still operate, but the estate work is going to computer run online auctions.
I do still call our virtual event with audio over the internet. Mine's more mid-western and rust belt sounding, but I did speech work at Northwestern and that's why, not that anyone asked. :)

Looks like it jigged a bit toward Port Richey, Blueboss, but hopefully not the very worst of it. They all prepare well for these things, so I'm sure they'll be OK, but I'll say a little prayer for them anyway!

They’re getting better at these things.. for me and my experience when I lived down there was always the aftermath, and not the storm itself. Brother-in-law in Tampa had some of his neighbor's tree limbs and such blown into his yard. Said he picked up two big bags of it this morning. Other than that, no issues. Did not lose power.
I know not everyone is that fortunate, and I've already heard 8 died, millions without power, and immense damage in Taylor County, and it could have been worse but for the fact the eye made landfall in a sparsely populated area.
So far Tampa sounds better off than Lexington. All we are getting is some wind and steady rain and yet we're losing power, lights out, trees down, etc. Not a disaster by any means, but more than I might expect from rain and some gusty but hardly tornado type winds.Quote:
