Grammar nerd vent: I've read at least 4 documents today saying something like "Mr. Snuffy is a person that is ...." Then I was just on FB and saw someone do the same thing there.
I was always taught to use that only if you're referring to a thing.
Not a big deal in the big scheme of things, but after seeing it all day, it's annoying. So I'm annoying you with it now.
I guess life's OK if that's my biggest complaint right now.

76 degrees when I fired up the mower yesterday and 92 degrees when the trimming was done. I actually enjoy yard work, but not when I am trying to enjoy a sauna.

^We put out a suet feeder and it was nothing but squirrels and starlings all day long. We finally had to take it down and return to the regular songbird feed. The squirrels like that stuff too, but we got a squirrel-proof feeder and that deterred them.
Haven’t seen any squirrels on it, but red-bellied woodpeckers, finches, blue jays, and a bunch of birds seem to like it.
We started bringing it in at night to avoid this situation, but now they’re striking mid-day.
We got one of those squirrel proof like umbrellas for our feeders.
When I go out in the back yard it sounds as if he is going to break the neighbor's privacy fence down as he is lumbering away, and before too long I will have to take him to the vet to have him put on Crestor...
My work playlist just played "I'm So Tired" by The Beatles. It's good to be seen.

The official start of fall is still a little over a month away, but with bird, and football seasons opening in two weeks it’s all but over for me, even with hot dry days still ahead….

Looks like beautiful day at the park. Probably same there as it is here in the the Ohio River Vally, hot/humid. Today was miserable low 90’s high humidity.

It's not too bad. Sun sets behind the stadium, so with a 4 pm first pitch, total shade for the fans. Tad warm, but not awful.
What was awful was the grand salami of given up in the top of the 9th with a 2-run lead. Ouch.
My coworker's son just signed with the Brewers.

756 miles on rental car in first 36 hours. Have it for 5 more days, but only one more road trip. Likely put near 2k miles on it for the week, though. Hertz may not like me very much.

Gotta love the weather here this time of year. It's 75, 85, 95, 75, 90. Remember that skit in Airplane! where the air traffic controller is calling out the altitude of the plane and it's all over the place?
Oh well. I did finally mow. It was that or wait a week and use a bushog.

I've noticed lately that mustaches are back, for some reason. There's nothing new under the sun.
Seems like half of my son's soccer team showed up looking like 1970s pornstars with the cheesy mustaches. My son, thankfully, did not get the memo. Half of them have already shaved, however.Quote:
