The Supremacy Clause only applies to those laws that the federal government was granted authority over by the Constitution.

The Bill of Rights outline rights that the Feds or states are forbidden from taking from the people.

Does that include the judiciary branch of the federal government?

I'm going to enjoy watching this one. Holder would have been wise to have not commented at all and see if Kansas actually tried to enforce it in any way. Then you can go to court, etc. By threatening the state all he does is help swell the ranks of gun rights supporters.

Let the law sit on the books and be for show. If they actually try to stop a federal agent from doing something then you'll get more people on your side b/c perception would shift for a lot of people. Not to mention you'd have your case to litigate.

Just last night I found a Lexington ordinance section that prevents auctions of personal property between October and March. AFAIK that has never been enforced, there are auctions of such things here all year round, and it was put in long ago for reasons I can't understand. It just sits there being unused like this probably would be.
