Yeah, bad one. 60 passengers, 4 crew on the regional AA flight, 3 on the Blackhawk.
Listening now. They actually ate saying they are looking for survivors. Seriously? Crash happened nearly 12 hr ago, into a freezing river. Anybody think they are going to find a "survivor" who is alive and not swam to the shore. So far 30 bodies recovered.
From the unsubstantiated rumors I heard when I got up this morning: they weren't announcing that officially to give them some time to try and notify next of kin, so they didn't have to hear it on the news. By around 5am this morning, they had started announcing it.Quote:

Worst commercial accident in the US this century that I recall. Add any qualifiers you want but the “teams on the plane” nature of the casualties does make it more horrible to me. Air travel so often involves “whole families” or “whole teams” and like Marshall or OK State it’s got an overlay of special horror.
