Man, that’s a lot. I missed Ron Ely. Ululate (like his Tarzan call) was one of the words of the day in that thread no one read, predating his death by several months.

Add Linda Lavin, most notable roll was Alice at Mel’s Diner…having said that, she did win a Tony award. She was recently diagnosed w/ lung cancer. She was 87…
Cancer sucks!!

At age 60 I am in that window of the time when people who were famous and or big parts of my life are passing. It felt like a lot passed this year. Pete Rose being a big one. Fernando and then Ricky.
But also Jerry West and Dikembe Mutumbo.
From entertainment it was Carl Weathers, Dickie Betts, Q, Greg Khin, Kristofferson, And Donald Sutherland.
But again, Pete and Ricky are the big ones for me.

Phil Lesh, Dickey Betts, John Mayall, Kristofferson. Those guys directly, Phil and Dickey, or indirectly, Mayall’s guitarists graduates and “The Turning Point”, Kristofferson’s songs sung by others, took up a lot of my time listening to music.

When Ron Ely played Tarzan on TV in the mid-60's, I think the Tarzan yell was dubbed in, as it was the same yell that Johnny Weismuller made up and made famous. I think. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am this time.
