  • Running With the Rebels: No. 9 Ole Miss Comes to Town

    LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two high-powered offenses will take their hacks when no. 9 Ole Miss arrives in Lexington to face Kentucky, the third top 10 opponent to visit Kentucky Proud Park this season.

    The Rebels (17-7, 2-4 SEC) are averaging 9.1 runs per game and the Wildcats (17-9, 2-4) are plating 8.1 per game entering the weekend. Ole Miss was the top-ranked team in the nation before being swept by Tennessee last weekend.

    UK remains undecided on its Friday night starter after losing Cole Stupp for the season last weekend, while Darren Williams and Tyler Bosma will take the baseball on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Dylan DeLucia will face the Cats on Friday night but the other two starters remain undecided.

    Action begins on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1. The games each will be streamed on SECN+. The radio call will be on UKathletics.com and the UK Sports Network.

    On Friday, the first 1,000 fans will receive an April Fools’ Day umbrella hat and CJ’s Food Truck is featured. On Saturday, it’s rock and roll day and on Sunday the first 250 fans in attendance will receive the second set of 2022 trading cards. In addition, at each SEC home game, two contestants will be selected and each have one shot to win $5,000 at cornhole.
