  • Kentucky rolls to 90-44 win over Monmouth

    Kentucky did just what it should have Wednesday night — it beat a winless team in easy fashion.

    Freshman Tyler Herro led four Cats in double figures as UK (6-1) rolled 90-44 over winless Monmouth. Herro was 6-for-10 from the field, including 2-for-5 from 3-point range, and 4-for-5 at the foul line. He also had eight rebounds, four steals and one assist in 28 minutes.

      With all the cupcake wins, it's hard to really figure out how much or if we've really progressed since the Duke game. I'm ready for some relevant games.

      Saturday will be a decent measure before we get 4 straight against Power 5 teams (Seton Hall, Utah, UNC and UofL). UNCG is 7-1, very high scoring, beat Providence and played LSU tight. Attempt about 24 threes per game and average 87.6 points.

      Obviously a game we should win going away. Won't be able to draw a ton from it, but IF we take control early and roll them, that will be a good sign heading into the fun part of the non conference schedule.
