    UK Media Release

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 16th annual CATSPY Awards, celebrating the 2017-18 athletics year at the University of Kentucky, will be held on April 23 in Memorial Coliseum.

The awards ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. Tickets for the CATSPY Awards cost $5 each and may be purchased online or at the UK Athletics Ticket Office (Joe Craft Center). All seating is general admission for the event and all persons must have a ticket to enter, regardless of age.

The general public will enter through the Lexington Avenue entrance of Memorial Coliseum. Public parking will be available in the E lot on the west side (Lexington Avenue) of the Joe Craft Center. Additional parking will be available in parking structure No. 5, located near the former Kennedy's Book Store.

Male athlete of the year has to be Evan White, doesn't it? (Unless it's Henrik Larsen, UK Rifle. Hard to go against the National Champions).

This season, Larsen finished as the top individual in every match he competed in. He led the nation in scoring, with an aggregate average of 1188.83, and smallbore at 592.25. 1st team All-American, and NCAA shooter of the year. I edited this to change my pick.

Female rookie of the year has to be Madison Lilley. Freshman Setter was all-world, let Kentucky to a top 4 National Seed in Volleyball, SEC Champions. Tremendous season.

Charles Moushey has to be given a lot of consideration for the Scratch Award, as does Troy Squires. Squires probably played a bigger role, though, but he's in a sport where they get fewer than 10 scholarships for 30 players, so to me, it doesn't have the same meaning to be a "non-scholarship" player in a sport like that. He should be a scholly player otherwise.

Can Larsen win male athlete of the year and male rookie of the year?

SGA has a great shot at male rookie of the year if Larsen isn't eligible. Larsen earned multiple postseason honors: First Team All-American, NCAA Shooter of the Year, and Freshman of the Year for the Kentucky national championship team.

Thanks, Harlow--I corrected it to 22. No idea, of course, and watch 18 be the right answer lol. Anyway, I appreciate the heads up.
