Team Records and Series Notes
Kentucky is 1-3 overall, 0-1 in the Southeastern Conference. Florida is 4-0 overall, 3-0 in the SEC.
Florida leads the series 46-17, including 26-4 in Gainesville.
Kentucky returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 29, with the SEC home opener vs. South Carolina. Game time is 7 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium and the game will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2.
Team Notes
Kentucky won the toss and elected to defer to the second half.
UK rushed the ball a season-high 32 times today.
The Wildcats offensive line didn’t allow a sack and totaled three sacks on defense.
Kentucky was shutout for the first time since Oct. 14, 2006 vs. LSU, 49-0.
Individual Notes
Junior Tailback Jonathan George tied a season high with 52 yards rushing on 13 carries.
Freshman Tailback Dyshawn Mobley rushed four times for a career-high 22 yards.
Sophomore Linebacker Alvin “Bud” Dupree has made at least one big play (QB sack, tackle for loss, fumble caused, fumble recovery or pass breakup) in eight consecutive games. Dupree finished with eight tackles, including a sack for a six yard loss.
Junior TB Jonathan George, junior DT Tristian Johnson and freshman DB Cody Quinn all made their first career starts. Freshman QB Jalen Whitlow also earned his first extended action of the season. Whitlow played sparingly in the Kent State game.
