  • Men's BB conference schedule released

    Highlights:

    --SEC opener @Ole Miss 12/29. That's on a Thursday and is UK's only Thursday game, so no Thursday-Saturday turnaround this season;

    --Besides the Ole Miss game, every conference game is on Tuesday or Saturday;

    --Season-ender @A&M 3/4;

    --1 2-game road swing: @UGA 2/18 and @Mizzou 2/21;

    --Opponents UK plays twice: A&M, Vandy, UT, UGA, UF.

    I'd rather not finish at A&M and the 9:00 ET starts aggravate my cranky old-guyness, but overall that schedule suits me just fine.

    Thursday, Dec. 29 at Ole Miss ESPN2 7:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Jan. 3 vs. Texas A&M ESPN 9:00 p.m.
    Saturday, Jan. 7 vs. Arkansas SEC Network 8:30 p.m.
    Tuesday, Jan. 10 at Vanderbilt ESPN 7:00 p.m.
    Saturday, Jan. 14 vs. Auburn ESPN/ESPN2 4:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Mississippi State ESPN 7:00 p.m.
    Saturday, Jan. 21 vs. South Carolina ESPN/ESPN2 4:00-8:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Jan. 24 at Tennessee ESPN 9:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Jan. 31 vs. Georgia ESPN 9:00 p.m.
    Saturday, Feb. 4 at Florida ESPN/ESPN2 2:00-8:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Feb. 7 vs. LSU ESPN 7:00 p.m.
    Saturday, Feb. 11 at Alabama CBS 1:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Feb. 14 vs. Tennessee ESPN 7:00 p.m.
    Saturday, Feb. 18 at Georgia ESPN/ESPN2 4:00-8:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Missouri SEC Network 9:00 p.m.
    Saturday, Feb. 25 vs. Florida CBS 2:00 p.m.
    Tuesday, Feb. 28 vs. Vanderbilt ESPN 9:00 p.m.
    Saturday, March 4 at Texas A&M CBS 12:00 p.m.

      Looks like I will be buying Alabama season tix again this year. Third year in a row that we travel to bama. There is no rhyme or reason as to how the Home Office in Birmingham comes up with these schedules.

      Alabama is the only normal "road game" trip for me that is convenient. But maybe it'll work out.

      5 of them this season, and every one of them on Tuesday night. This old guy is right there with you about being cranky as I have to work on Wednesdays.

      I have to admit, unless I'm attending a 9pm ET road game, those work with my schedule much better. I know I'm in the minority on that, though.

      I wondered about that. I assumed there was some rotation like football so I was surprised when they UK came to Bama last year. Will be great to see the Cats in T-town!!

      Well, the good news for me personally is no Sunday games. It would be very rare for a conference game, but that's why I have auctions on Sunday around here. Like D, the 9pm works worse for most but not as bad for me. Somewhat, it makes it hard to go out and watch versus staying home, but it's not a deal breaker.

      How many Thursday/Saturday games does Vandy have? Will Stallings protest from Pitt just for old time's sake?

      Isn't UGA supposed to be pretty decent this year? If so, that little two game home stand with Kansas (1/28) and UGA (1/31) will be big.

      I agree about aTm as the last game. Sucks as I had wanted to head to that game but the turnaround to Nashville is too much for my old bones. I liked the tradition of finishing with FL which UK did regularly when FL was good. Of course the conference wants that marquee match up at the end so UK vs aTm make the most sense

      Yes, I might make that game at Bama. Odds are I'll go GA as I have a buddy who coached there years ago and has connections for great seats. I'll be at FL for sure as my daughter is enrolled there now so I could be a "Rowdy Reptile"!!!

      You were a rowdy reptile before your daughter enrolled there.

    Thanks, Harlow--I corrected it to 22. No idea, of course, and watch 18 be the right answer lol. Anyway, I appreciate the heads up.
