Bringing Eddie Gran to Kentucky as offensive coordinator also was supposed to give UK another recruiting connection in Florida.
Apparently, that's exactly right because wide receiver Marvin Robinson of Fort Lauderdale is now on the Kentucky roster and eligible to play this season.
Robinson had 36 catches for 559 yards and two scores his senior season. He had scholarship offers from Wisconsin, Florida State, Indiana, Minnesota, Akron and Florida A&M. He was set to go to Wisconsin but apparently did not qualify academically and sat out last season.
The 6-4, 175-pound Robinson was considered a "sleeper" coming out of high school but played on a high school team loaded with Division I talent. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 or 4.5 seconds (depends on which scouting report you read) and also has superb athleticism.
He gives Kentucky another tall, athletic receiver and only adds to the choices that Gran and quarterback Drew Barker will have this season.
