  • The Statues of the SEC Pioneers

    These are the African-American pioneers Greg Page, Nate Northington, Wilbur Hackett, and Houston Hogg that integrated SEC sports in the mid sixties. At the Martin Luther King celebration at the Heritage Hall in Lexington Convention Cener the University of Kentucky President Eli Capiluto officially announced the structuring at CWS at the beginning of the 2016 season. This is to be positioned between the exit of the new practice facility and the stadium. This eighteen month project was doggedly facilitated by former football player Paul Karem and others. Yours truly was involved in some facets of the projects. At a later date a documentary film will be produced. More on that later.
