Senior linebacker Ryan Flannigan has missed the first two games of the season battling a shoulder injury and Kentucky coach Mark Stoops admitted on the SEC coaches teleconference that he is a “little concerned” about Flannigan’s status.
“I really don’t have an update other than his status has not changed. He is not cleared for contact yet,” Stoops said.
The coach said it is hard to know when he might be cleared and play again.
“It’s an issue as I mentioned before it could linger or he could wake up tomorrow and be cleared. We just have to prepare as if he will not be there this week (against Florida),” Stoops said.
Flannigan has not been available to the media since before the season started. He injured his shoulder in a practice collision with fullback Jacob Hyde.
